Topic: I can't seem to stick with good eye drawing

I've tried everything, Oval, circle, complex and simple, but I can't seem to stick with one type of eye that just fits what I like.

I don't even know why, I mean, I'm perfect at copying other peoples artstyles, I can draw Jerry out in a few minutes, but I can't for the life of me find a set of eyes that I created myself that suits my drawings.

People say experiment, so I make 30 eyes and hate all of them, people say it comes to you, so I wait 3 good years and still no stable ground. I need to find a good source of inspiration for my flash, and I don't think Egoraptor and Hotdiggedydemon are deep oceans of originality for me to fish my own ideas from.

Any tips, buds?

meh, i'm no artist.. yet.. :s
but i'd say make your character first, then figure out a personality and based on the personality that's how the eyes would look.
Character First, Eyes Later. ;3
